Heavenly Llamas

     This sales Contract between Cindy and Phil Bruckner of Heavenly Llamas, Sellers, and below listed Buyer(s) is for the Sale Llama: ___________________________ (ILR# ___________) for the purchase price of $______. Every effort has been made to correctly describe each llama, to our best knowledge, but Heavenly Llamas is not responsible for errors or accidental omissions.

     Upon signing this Contract, the Buyer agrees to a deposit equal to 20% of the purchase price, or $100, whichever is more. The remainder of the purchase price is due prior to departure for delivery, which is to occur on or before _________, unless both parties agree otherwise. Sale Llama may board here free of charge until _______ ( $2.00/day after). The Buyer has 42 days from the signing of this Contract to meet the below conditions.

HEALTH: Seller warrants Sale Llama in good health at the time of sale. Health records will be provided to the Buyer. Buyer agrees to pay for any additional fecal exams or vet exams they may request before delivery. Buyer will be entitled to a full refund of the purchase price and release from this contract in the event Sale Llama is found to be in unsatisfactory health or condition in a pre-delivery veterinary exam.

TITLE: RISK OF LOSS: Title passes to the Buyer upon signing this Contract. All risk of death or injury to the llama shall pass to the Buyer at that time. Buyers are urged to insure their llamas. ILR registration papers are available on all Sale Llamas, but will not be transferred to Buyer until the purchase price is paid in full. Buyers will pay the ILR transfer fee. ILR registration papers will be signed and given to Buyers for all yet-to-be-born crias, which are to then be registered at Buyer's expense.

FORFEITURE PROVISION: Buyer must accept delivery of Sale Llama on or before the above written date, unless other mutually agreed arrangements have been made. Sellers will deliver Sale Llama free within 25 miles of Bozeman, Montana if desired and pre-arranged. Failure to take delivery of Sale Llama by the agreed date will result in forfeiture of the paid purchase price, and the llama will be considered immediately available for resale.

COMPANION ANIMAL: The Buyer shall realize the importance of companionship for a llama, and therefore agree to provide a companion animal (preferably llama) prior to accepting delivery of Sale Llama. Buyer agrees that if a companion animal cannot be provided for Sale Llama at the intended destination, they will either board it elsewhere where it will have companionship or forfeit the purchase price.

CARE: Llamas are not high maintenance but the Buyer shall need to provide ample grass (or grass/legume) pasture for Sale Llama in summer and approximately 2% body weight grass (or grass/legume) hay per day in winter. Fresh water and mineral salt suited to your area should be provided at all times. Some form of wind shelter, preferably a lean-to or barn, also needs to be provided. Straw to lay on and an extra daily ration of COB is very helpful in severely cold weather. Llamas should be vaccinated yearly and wormed as per your local veterinarian's advice. Trim toes as needed and shear most llamas annually to help prevent heat stress. In summer, access to some shade from the afternoon sun is preferable, with a swimming pool or low sprinkler recommended for temperatures >85 degrees.

FERTILITY GUARANTEE: This breedable female OR breedable male is guaranteed by Heavenly Llamas to be reproductively sound (physically capable of breeding). Heavenly Llamas reserves the right to either replace with like quality and value OR refund the purchase price upon Buyer's production of a veterinarian's statement testifying to reproductive infertility due to conditions existing at the time of sale. OR this non-breeder female OR non-breeder male come with NO fertility guarantees by Heavenly Llamas.

LIVE BIRTH GUARANTEE: All bred females sold are guaranteed to produce a live cria through the first five days of life. A free rebreeding and 60 days free boarding shall be provided if a live cria is not produced (transportation is Buyer's responsibility). If the female is incapable of another pregnancy due to a preexisting condition, the above Fertility Guarantee shall apply.
